Trendsetter

Play as fashion influencers and compete to get the most likes! You can buy Outfits to add to your Closet. Then, post your new Outfits on Social Media to earn Likes. 

Cards represent outfits. The number on the card represents the Outfit's price and the number of Likes. Aces through 6 represent fast fashion pieces, earning a low amount of Likes, unless it matches the current trend. If your Outfit follows the current trend, it earns double the amount of Likes. This is determined by the Trend Cycle, the number on the spinner or dice. Outfits can be purchased from the Online Store and Thrift Store; the price of the Thrift Store depends on the number of the Trend Cycle. The Thrift Store is only stocked if the Online Store is outdated, and players choose to donate the Outfits from there. You can also be a Trendsetter by posting a face card. Face cards, also known as Trendsetters, earn 12 Likes and set a new trend, making their suit in style. Any number with the matching suit is worth double Likes. Keep posting until players run out of Outfits or Money. 

Trendsetters is inspired by the effect of social media on the fashion industry and the rise of fast fashion.
